RAMÓN GONZÁLEZ PALAZÓN

He develops his work in painting, video art, installation, scenography and cinema. Currently he has almost twenty individual exhibitions in his native region, Murcia, New York, Puerto Rico, Shanghai and many other collective in Spain and other countries.

He has participated in ARCO art fair (Madrid) in two occasions and CIRCA in Puerto Rico in the field of international contemporary art fairs festivals, and in numerous national and international film festivals.

Graduate in Fine Arts U.P.V. Valencia (1998-2003) complemented his training through artist residencies in Venezuela, under the tutelage of Luis Lizardo (2001 – Institute Armando Reverón University of Art) and in Munich, under the tutelage of Gunther Förg and Markus Ohelen (2003 – Kunstakademie München).

Various scholarships and awards such as Casa Pintada Scholarship (2007 – Mula, Murcia) The Scholarship Gabarrón Foundation (2011New York, USA), First prize Murcia Visual Arts (2007Murcia). Special mention from the IBAFF jury for short film (2013 – Murcia) II Workshop Cinema with Abbas Kiarostami (Murcia 2013), Film Workshop with Víctor Erice, (Madrid 2017) Centro Párraga Artistic Production Scholarship. (2020, Murcia) Call Selection Exhibition Spaces 2021-2022 (CEART) Fuenlabrada Art Museum (Madrid).

His work talks about the search for perceptual and sensory creation addressed by installation, drawing, painting, video art, sculpture and cinema, an approach to spaces transformed real estate in which the human and the material merge, making profitable the possibilities of interactive devices to generate new interpretations of physical spaces, appealing to the experimentation of new sensations.

In the latest compositions that he is making, a reflection with the established natural process between atmospheric elements, in relation to the human body as a commitment existential and identity.

Some of his works are the result of investigations through a reflection of what ephemeral, from the material to the immaterial, from the temporal to the timeless, from the figurative to the abstract raised from video art and installation.
